ten - 04

TEN - 04 is my birthday, for me the most important part of our identity, more important than our given name, nationality or race. These I consider all labels. With this form of artwork I wanted to drift away from all my creative, cultural  educational labels and focuse on my forms, lines, space and colour.

Reducing my artwork to two dimensions and away from all figurative form I play with geometric art,  hard-edged painting and organic shapes and smudges. I drift way from reality and enter another dimension which I consider more spiritual.

I was inspired by masters of the cubist art and the forerunners of pop art such as Le Corbusier and Fernand Leger and Picasso. Initially  I took note of the principals of geometric art and visual composition but the allowed my instinct to carry me away into the depths of this form of abstract art.
