splash!

As the title indicates this collection of abstract and figurative paintings are a "Splash!" Splash of color, joy, movement, energy. The power of liquid. The element of water without which there can't be life. Splash is also the explosive jump into the unknown and unexpected. The fist of this collection was a large scale abstract which also has the same title, the rest would follow.

Taking advantage of a portrait of Queen Elizabeth I I continued to explore this idea of splashing paint on the canvas. I also placed text on the background giving hints as to what was on my mind at the time.
