Marcos Terol was born and grew up in the South of Spain also known as the region of Andalusia. His childhood memories are of living in the unspoilt Andalusian countryside, seeing Retinto bulls and Andalusian horses grazing in the meadows and enjoying the local traditions. Flamenco and its haunting music are part of his life soundtrack.
Living in Madrid, away from Andalusia was the trigger he needed to express his nostalgia for his homeland in his art work. The Andalusian sun, the Mediterranean Sea, the countryside and its customs are all deeply rooted in his memory. This collection of Oil Paintings brought for the first time to the USA express the beauty, joy and carisma of Andalusia and its people.
It is no coincidence that his first exhibition in USA is in Miami, its the only place he can consider his home away from home. We welcome you to enjoy his tribute to this unique and sometimes still unknown part of Spain.
